At the KDCC Annual General Meeting, held at the Globe Hotel on 15th August, the Knights Cricket Committee Chairman, Paul Vincent, announced their coaching appointments for the upcoming 2018/19 season.

In announcing the appointments Paul in particular welcomed new Coaches Luke Doran, Gurinder Sandhu, Emily Divin, Bonnie Davies, Tim Scott and Richard Cowland to the Club Coaching Panel. He added that the Club had sort to bring together coaches that could provide the many emerging junior players with a development pathway through to 1st grade and beyond.
Board Elected for Season 2018/19
The following members were elected to the KDCC board:

Board Members – Alyssa Small, Jeff Ross, Lauren Hay, Carolyn Direen and Emma Coulson.
In welcoming the new members to the board, new Chairman Lincoln Street paid tribute to those retiring- Chairman Simon Burgess, Treasurers Tony and Helen Coad and Darren Poland for their untiring work for the Club over many years. Members present acknowledged with applause the efforts put in by those members. Areas of responsibility for all board members will be decided at their first meeting in September.
Retiring Chairman Simon Burgess provided the meeting with an update on the construction of the new grandstand. Funding for the project was announced by the Premier Will Hodgman as a commitment during the recent State Election Campaign. Work is expected to commence in the next 6/8 weeks. Simon has committed to continue to oversee the Project for the Club through until it is completed.
The Club Season opening function to announce Captains for the season will be held on the 13th October with Special Guest Speaker, former Geelong Backman Tom Lonergan.
